1 Vision Academy is a non-profit youth basketball / mentoring program that gives Bay Area Boys ages 12-18 an opportunity to participate in competitive basketball while also developing important life skills in a supportive, nurturing environment.

We work with Boys ages 12-18. Supporting and cultivating an enviroment where their overall growth is priority.

The logo includes an eye, a shield, and the number 1. The eye is a symbol of laser focus and passion, the shield is a symbol of protection for youth as long as they need it; and the number 1 symbolizes that we are united as one and stronger together as we make our way in life.

The teams practice on various courts at schools and parks in various Bay Area, CA locations.

Practice and training schedules vary upon location and players availability.

Yes. 1 Vision Academy travels for tournaments all through California and Las Vegas, and Arizone. The teams have played in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dublin, and other cities. The tournaments offer a great opportunity for college coaches to assess young talent.

The participation fee varies in each city & each athlete will need to pay for cost of their personal uniform. 1 Vision Academy will continue to find ways to help with tournament fees, hotel room expenses, and any other expenses that may occur.

The program relies on volunteer coaches and fundraising to cover additional operational expenses. Galey is seeking corporate and other sponsors to further support development of the program.

Galey plans to expand the program beyond basketball to include other sports as well. The program will look into helping younger kids as well with recreational leagues and camps. Through the prism of athletics, we hope to help young people cope with stress, failure, or any mental health issues that may arise.
